When you are living at the bottom of a negative cesspool,

being held down by the depressant alcohol,

if you have any emotions at all,

they are usually not happy or good.

Once you have let go and let God remove

the compulsion and obsession to drink

the program of A. A. is no longer about ‘not drinking’

it is about ‘right living’.

The program will set you on the right spiritual pathway

to happy, joyous and free, it is up to the individual

to continue their own translation of how the program

should work for him or her.

Today, live life on life’s terms or better yet

live life on God’s terms.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.
