The Honeymoon

.

“For most of us,

the first years of A.A.

are something like

a honeymoon.
. . .

“But when the honeymoon

has worn off, we are obliged

to take our lumps, like other people.”

.

As Bill Sees It    p  216

.

Beware of the “Pink Cloud.”

Just because you sobered up does not mean that

life will stop having its ups and downs.

Balance in your life and a realistic approach to living

are the rewards of the A. A. program that is utilized

on a daily basis.

Have faith, if God brings you to it ,

He will see you through it.

Recovery is to survive after the honeymoon is over.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Our Chief Responsibility

.

“Our chief

responsibility

to the newcomer

is an adequate

presentation of

the program.”

.

As Bill Sees It     p  105

.

Make no claims about the program, except

as to how it has affected your life.

If you are honest and they want what you have

the results will be in the hands of God.

Today, remember that staying sober is your

primary commitment, so that a responsible you

can better carry the message to the newcomer.

Recovery is to remember our chief responsibility.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.
