Today, give the
Go to a Meeting
and when all else fails,
keep the mouth shut.
Take the cotton out of the ears,
put the cotton in the mouth
and learn to listen and listen to learn.
Need some more tools; get a sponsor,
find some favorite prayers (a mantra),
avail yourself of the approved AA literature
and make sure you read it, be of service,
not just the coffee maker or meeting chair,
but the Intergroup and the District
are very vital organizations that need
every AA members support.

My brain is
Born that way,
the brain thinks
opposite of what
the medical (psychiatric)
to be healthy.
Instead of compassion, anger; instead of love, hatred;
instead of patience, anxiety; instead of acceptance, fear
and the list goes on and on.
The sick mind is negative, selfish, self-centered and
does not consider the consequences before it reacts.
The alcoholic sick mind also thinks the reverse;
that it is normal to drink poison,
to savor the effects of intoxication,
to believe that everyone does it,
to be the last to know that there may be a problem.
This is the intro to a longer article,
subsequent post will eventually serialize
the complete article.
