Normal Abnormal

.

“The need

to be normal

is the predominant

anxiety disorder

in modern life.”

.

~ Thomas Moore

.

Today, try to do the will of your

loving Higher Power, the Great Creator,

the One who made you uniquely capable of doing

what you have been placed in this world to do.

Don’t be anxious, have faith, have hope,

know that doing the next right thing

is about as close to normal as you will want to get.

Recovery is to enjoy being abnormal.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Impossible

.

“Start by doing

what’s necessary;

then do what’s possible;

and suddenly you are

doing the impossible.”

.

– Saint Francis of Assisi

.

Fear is the impossible,

your preconceived ideas that are ego driven;

fear of failure, fear of prosperity, fear of the unknown.

Today, lose the fear, do something kind, smile,

be loving, be forgiving, be patient and tolerant,

be the person God wants you to be,

and before you know it, you will amaze yourself

by being able to do the impossible,

enjoying life without fear.

Recovery is doing the impossible.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

The Inside Job

.

“Though we travel

the world over

to find the beautiful,

we must carry it with us

or we find it not.”

.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

.

It is not what you see, it is how you perceive.

The Great Creator has made this world beautiful,

look for the good, be kind and loving, have faith,

believing that God has already provide the beautiful.

Today, look inside of yourself,

God has also planted something beautiful in there,

a soul that can be happy, joyous and free.

Recovery is having a beautiful attitude.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

The Selfish Ego

.

“We will only fall

when we follow

the voice of our ego;

for it is impossible

to stumble when following

the whisper of the Spirit,

because it never lets go.”

.

~ Kelly Young

.

The selfish Ego is self esteem on steroids,

the loud voice of pride that proceeds the fall.

Today, pursue the balance, seek the silence,

listen to the whispers of the Spirit as you

follow the path that leads you to doing

the will of your loving Higher Power,

doing the next right thing.

Recovery is following the whisper of the Spirit.

No One Is Inferior

.

“The surrender of life

is nothing

to sinking down into

acknowledgment

of inferiority.”

.

– John C. Calhoun

.

God made nothing that is inferior.

Today, you do not have to act superior;

just be kind, be loving, be patient and tolerant,

be forgiving and compassionate and be the person

your Higher Power wants you to be.

The Great Creator has placed every one of us

in this world to do His will, to make this planet

a better place for all.

Recovery is a healthy dose of self-esteem.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Me, You and God

003

.

Pray as though

everything

depended on God.

Work as though

everything

depended on you.”

.

~ Saint Augustine

.

God has designed this world to be a “WE” world,

me, you and God; with the sole purpose of having

us work together to make this Uni-verse

a better place for all.

Today, pray to God that you may have only

kind and loving thoughts and that all of your actions

will make this “WE” world happy, joyous and free.

Today, act as though the world depends on you.

Recovery is depending on God and self.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

Without Resentment

020

.

The final proof

of greatness

lies in being able

to endure criticism

without resentment.”

.

~ Elbert Hubbard

.

To some degree we are all great,

especially in the eyes of our Great Creator.

Today, expand that greatness by having only

kind thoughts. loving feelings, a forgiving soul

and the patience and tolerance to ignore those

morons who want you to have resentments.

Today, don’t take it personally,

the idiots are just envious of your greatness.

Recovery is to endure criticism without resentment.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.
