The Inside Job

.

“Though we travel

the world over

to find the beautiful,

we must carry it with us

or we find it not.”

.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

.

It is not what you see, it is how you perceive.

The Great Creator has made this world beautiful,

look for the good, be kind and loving, have faith,

believing that God has already provide the beautiful.

Today, look inside of yourself,

God has also planted something beautiful in there,

a soul that can be happy, joyous and free.

Recovery is having a beautiful attitude.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

No Excuses

.

“If you really want

to do something,

you’ll find a way.

If you don’t,

you’ll find an excuse.”

.

~ Jim Rohn

.

Don’t lie, but be tactful.

Excuses are lies dressed up in fancy words.

Today, if you have a reason or even if you do not

have a reason to do or not do something,

be honest, do not make lame excuses.

Today, negotiate, accommodate, moderate,

compromise, just be kind and find an honest

mutual path to happy, joyous and free.

Recovery is never having to make an excuse.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Do Something

.

“Life is inherently risky.

There is only one big risk

you should avoid

at all costs,

and that is the risk of

doing nothing.”

.

.

~ Denis Waitley

.
Lead, follow or just get out of the way.

Today, start with an attitude of gratitude

and thank your Higher Power for giving you

one more day, one day at a time.

Today, get out of yourself,

do a random act of senseless kindness

without expectation of a personal reward

and try to make this world a better place for all.

Recovery is taking the risk to do something.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

No One Is Inferior

.

“The surrender of life

is nothing

to sinking down into

acknowledgment

of inferiority.”

.

– John C. Calhoun

.

God made nothing that is inferior.

Today, you do not have to act superior;

just be kind, be loving, be patient and tolerant,

be forgiving and compassionate and be the person

your Higher Power wants you to be.

The Great Creator has placed every one of us

in this world to do His will, to make this planet

a better place for all.

Recovery is a healthy dose of self-esteem.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Me, You and God

003

.

Pray as though

everything

depended on God.

Work as though

everything

depended on you.”

.

~ Saint Augustine

.

God has designed this world to be a “WE” world,

me, you and God; with the sole purpose of having

us work together to make this Uni-verse

a better place for all.

Today, pray to God that you may have only

kind and loving thoughts and that all of your actions

will make this “WE” world happy, joyous and free.

Today, act as though the world depends on you.

Recovery is depending on God and self.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

Choose To Be Kind

004

.

Attachment

to being right

creates suffering.

When you

have a choice

to be right,

or to be kind,

choose kind

and watch your suffering disappear.”

.

~ Dr. Wayne Dyer

.

Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.

Pain is a two way street, often what pains you

will also pain those closest to you.

Suffering is a one way dead end street and it is all yours.

Today, know that what is right at this point in time

may not be right tomorrow

but a kindness will be right forever.

Recovery is choosing to be kind.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

Without Resentment

020

.

The final proof

of greatness

lies in being able

to endure criticism

without resentment.”

.

~ Elbert Hubbard

.

To some degree we are all great,

especially in the eyes of our Great Creator.

Today, expand that greatness by having only

kind thoughts. loving feelings, a forgiving soul

and the patience and tolerance to ignore those

morons who want you to have resentments.

Today, don’t take it personally,

the idiots are just envious of your greatness.

Recovery is to endure criticism without resentment.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.
