Anxiety Bombs

.

.

“Getting clear on

what you’re scared of

can instantly diffuse

ticking anxiety bombs

and release your

creative power.”

.

~ Danielle LaPorte

.

Have that sinking gut feeling,

that intuitive tremor that something is amiss.

Have faith, God is telling you to seek out the cause

of your fears, that you need to take a second look

at the people, places and things in your life,

those conditions that may be leading you toward

the emotional cliff of doom.

Today, follow your instincts, follow God’s will.

Recovery is to have clear thoughts.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

In A Quiet Moment

.

“In a quiet moment

we can get an

intuitive insight

that can change

our entire life

and the lives of

the people around us

in incredibly positive ways.”

.

– Elaine St.James

.

Seek the silence.

Today, slow the mind down

to equal the speed of your actions,

engage the brain before opening the mouth,

think positive and be positive,

quiet the noisy mind.

Today, know that the intuitive insight,

the gut feeling, is God giving us directions

to do the next right thing.

Recovery is to use the quiet moment to affect positive changes.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Discover Yourself

.

“The creative is

the place where no one

else has ever been.

You have to leave

the city of your comfort

and go into the wilderness

of your intuition.

What you’ll discover

will be wonderful.

What you’ll discover is yourself.”

.

~ Alan Alda

.

The mind thinks, usually incorrectly,

but the soul intuitively knows

what the Great Creator wants you to be.

Today, forget the image the mind wants to create

and go to the soul and find out who you

are capable of creating.

Recovery is discovering yourself.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Dream Big, Have Faith

.

“You block your dream

when you allow your fear

to grow bigger than

your faith.”

.

~ Mary Manin Morrissey

.

.

Fear is often a vivid imagination

that has no base in reality,

no foundation in fact.

Today, don’t know if you are coming or going,

pray to your Higher Power for guidance,

ask a friend for a suggestion, have faith that your fear

will not overcome your God given intuition.

Today, use all of the tools that your imagination

can create to lose the fear and have a life

that is happy, joyous and free.

Recovery is always having enough faith to dream.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.

Rightly Relate

vinoy park 043

.

“True humility and an open mind

can lead us to faith,

and every A. A. meeting is

an assurance that God will

restore us to sanity

if we rightly relate ourselves

to Him.”

.

Twelve and Twelve,  p 33

.

Let go or be dragged.

Open your mind, let go and let God,

and trust that what has worked for so many

who have come before you will also

work for you.

Without alcohol in our body, the mental fog will lift

and a new way of thinking will show you

that sane thinking is not that hard.

You will learn how to intuitively do the next right thing,

no thinking required.

Today, don’t think, don’t drink

and follow your intuition.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

The Vital Sixth Sense

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

.

“To some extent we have

become God-conscious.

We have begun to develop

this vital sixth sense.

But we must go further

and that means

more action.”

.

BB p 85

.

Sixth sense, intuition, gut feeling, God presence,

call it what you may but have the faith to believe

that it will relieve you from the bondage of self.

The spiritual progress sought by the recovering soul

is this awakening that leads us to find a Power

greater than ourselves.

With more action, following the steps, we seek to improve

our conscious contact with our Higher Power,

as we understand Him,

and we pray that we will better know His will for us.

Today, seek to do His will, help another alcoholic.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.
