Be Confident

.

.

“If I have lost

confidence in myself,

I have the universe

against me.”

.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

.

.

When we walk in The Light,

following the path God’s will has for us

we can confidently face each and every day.

When we step over unto the Dark Side,

our confidence is left behind,

we no longer sing in tune with the Uni-verse

and all hope is abandoned.

Today, have faith, the Great Creator has

given us every reason to be confident.

Recovery is to have the confidence

that we can do God’s will.

Sobriety s a blessing from a Higher Power.

Twenty-four Hours

.

.

“Faith has to work

twenty-four hours

a day

in and through us,

or we perish.”

.

BB,   p. 16

.

.

According to the Oxford Dictionary,

faith; complete trust or confidence in someone

or something.

I am someone, no longer the drunk under the influence,

but a soul that must believe that a Higher Power

will do for me what I could not do for myself,

relieve me from the obsession and compulsion to drink.

I am worthy and when I put my faith in God,

all things are good,

God is good,

God is good all of the time,

twenty-four hours a day.

Today, have faith, believe in yourself and God.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

Confidence

“I rather appreciated

your ideas about

the subtle insanity

which precedes

the first drink,

but I was confident

it could not happen to me

after what I had learned.”

.

BB p 40

.

The most important thing to learn

about the disease of alcoholism is

that it wants you to forget.

No matter how confident you may be

in your ability to learn, the disease which is

cunning, baffling, powerful and patient

is lurking in the shadows waiting for your ego

to over-think your spiritual condition.

Today, learn that you must re-learn

every new day.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.
