Slips

“Slips can often be charged
to rebellion;
some of us are more
rebellious than others. . . .
Slips can also be charged
to carelessness
and complacency.”

Riding the pink cloud,
I am invincible,
I can do anything I want to.
And many a drunk tells us ,
I don’t know what happened,
the next thing I knew I woke up in a different city,
in a different state.
When the crowd stopped laughing
all they could say was welcome back,
glad you made it.
Recovery is to guard against slips.
Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.
