A Very Real Freedom

Looking back,

we see that

our freedom

to chose badly

was not, after all,

a very real freedom.”

~  As Bill Sees It      p124

Free will, a blessing or  bad fortune, ill will,  curse,

or bad luck.

For the drunk it was an excuse to drink.

Why did the alcoholic drink? ? ?

Because he could.

Remember the paradox, surrender the old life

so that we can be reborn with a new life

that is a real freedom.

Today, work the Steps and give your will and your life

over to a Higher Power of your understanding.

Recovery is to do the will of a loving Higher Power.

Sobriety is a blessing from a Higher Power.
