A Longing Of The Soul

“Prayer is not asking.

It is a longing

of the soul.

It is daily admission

of one’s weakness.

It is better in prayer

to have a heart without words

than words without a heart.”

~ Mahatma Gandhi

Today I am sober, by the grace of God.

It was from the heart, a longing of my soul,  when I begged,

I pleaded, I cried out to a power higher than myself to

relieve me of the compulsion and obsession to drink alcohol.

God answers all prayers in God’s time and in a way

that He deems to be appropriate and His way has

turned out to always be the best way.

Every thought is a prayer so make it from the heart.

Be kind, be loving, be the person who makes this world

a better place for all.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
