Did You Pray

.

.

“I have talked

to many alcoholics

who have gone back

to drinking and I

always ask them:

“Did you pray for sobriety

the day you took your first drink?”

Not one of them said yes.”

.

Daily Reflections,   p. 299

.

Change,

from the bad habits spurred on by John Barleycorn

to a new way of living that is spiritually motivated

by honesty, open-mindedness and willingness.

If you have had the obsession and compulsion to drink removed

and you can humbly admit that a power greater than yourself

caused that miracle to happen, why should you not practice

that good habit every day ? ? ?

Today, be grateful, be thankful, pray and

let your Higher Power know

that you need His guidance,

one more day at a time.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
