November Roses 025

Happily for us,

we found that we

need no human

authority whatever.

We have two authorities

which are far more effective.

One is benign,

the other malign.”

As Bill Sees It,   p. 319

Kind, gracious, helpful, hospitable, humane,

an authority whose grace is responsible for

achieving sobriety, a loving Higher Power.

John Barleycorn, the Devil in disguise,

the evil, harmful, injurious and malefic,

authority of chaos and misery

who will gladly lead you on a path

to jails, institutions and death.

Today, know that you need only one authority

to give you a life that is happy, joyous and free,

and that choice should be obvious.

Choose wisely my friend.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
