Self-propulsion

November Roses 007

“Most people

try to live by

self-propulsion.

Each person is like

an actor who wants to

run the whole show;…”

.

When we wake up and accept

that this is God’s show, not ours,

life becomes increasingly easier and better.

It is wonderful to discover that there is

no need to fight, to quarrel, to pout,

to throw temper tantrums or

just be the stubborn, obstinate know-it-all drunk

that was looking for any old excuse to drink.

Today, know that there are no excuses needed,

and those who choose to live in a world

propelled by a loving Higher Power

are the sober souls that are happy, joyous and free.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
