The Riddle

October Roses 071

.

“Opinions vary considerably

as to why the alcoholic reacts

differently from normal people.

We are not sure why,

once a certain point is reached,

little can be done for him.

We cannot answer the riddle.”

.

BB,   p. 22

.

concept that under the influence of the disease

they were egomaniacs that suffered

with an inferiority complex.

The brain has a short circuit.

The quote on quote ‘normal’ people

have no idea what it is like to want to do

the next right thing, only to wake up and discover

that the need to drink won the debate, again.

Today, follow the suggestions, read a slogan or two,

and ask your Higher Power to not make you a statistic.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
