I Don’t Decide

October Roses 067

.

“I don’t decide which

defects get removed,

or the time frame in

which they get removed.

I ask God to decide which

defects stand in the way

of my usefulness to Him

and to others, and then

I humbly ask Him to remove them.”

Daily Reflections, p. 213

.

Suffering from a disease that wants one to isolate,

be alone, push away anyone who loves them

and to kill themselves the number and types

of character defects is as infinitely as varied

as there are alcoholics.

Make the list of your defects,

share it with your Higher Power,

and seek to find some balance, serenity

and peace of mind in your life.

The secret, be willing to change.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
