“Prudence is a
workable middle ground,
a channel of clear sailing
between the obstacles of fear
on one side and of
recklessness on the other.”
As Bill Sees It, p. 91
Remember Aesop, be the hare.
Slow but steady wins the race and it
also keeps ones life in a better perspective.
As the drunk it was reckless instant gratification,
I wanted what I wanted and I wanted it immediately,
if not sooner, the recipe for a shipwreck.
The fear was always that I would not get my fair share,
that you would get a boatload more than me.
Today, be prudent, be patient and be willing
to accept life on God’s terms,
to be grateful for what you do receive.
Recovery is one day at a time.
Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,
God loves you and so do we.
