Convictions Galore

October Roses 055

.

“Many of us had

moral and philosophical

convictions galore,

but we could not

live up to them

even though we would

have liked to.”

.

BB p 62

.

Would have, could have, should have

was the life of the alcoholic who knew better

but was unable to do only that which the disease

wanted him to do, drink more.

What it used to be like has become

what it is like now, freedom to choose

to do the next right thing.

Today, the consequences are thought out

before the action is taken and picking up

that first drink is no longer an option.

Today, keep you convictions

and live up to them.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
