But Faith Alone

October Roses 050

“Faith, to be sure,

is necessary,

but faith alone

can avail nothing.

We can have faith,

yet keep God

out of our lives.”

Twelve and Twelve,   p. 34

‘Faith without action is dead.’   ~ James 2:17

Sobriety is not a free gift

handed to anyone who asks for it,

it is a series of steps, actions, that we must take

in order to change our lives.

Our faith works when we become willing

to let God come into our lives and do for us

what we could not do for ourselves,

relieve us from the obsession and compulsion

to drink alcoholically.

Today, grow your faith

and let it work for you.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
