The Quiet Good Example

Lanai 004

“A.A.’s often say,

‘Our leaders do not

drive by mandate;

they lead by example.’

If we would favorably

affect others,

we ourselves need to

practice what we preach –

– and forget the ‘preaching,’ too.

The quiet good example speaks for itself.”

As Bill Sees It,   p. 183

Walk the walk, don’t just, talk the talk.

Leave your ego at the door, sit quietly at the meeting,

your quiet good example may be just what

the new comer needs to see.

You do not need to hear yourself talk,

God knows how important you are

without you having to say a word.

Remember, they are only suggestions.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
