“We shall want to
hold ourselves to
the course of admitting
the things we have done,
the wrongs done us,
real or fancied.”
Twelve and Twelve, pp. 81 & 82
As we work Step Eight, we list those we have harmed
and more importantly, for those who have harmed us,
real or fancied,
we seek to see what part we and our disease
had to play in those situations and become
willing to make amends and forgive them all.
Who lied, who cheated, who stole
no longer matters,
two wrongs do not make a right,
what matters is that we clear the wreckage of the past,
forgive, and move on towards a life that accepts
the guidance of a loving Higher Power.
Recovery is one day at a time.
Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,
God loves you and so do we.
