I Promise

October Roses 053

“Before A.A.,

I judged myself

by my intentions,

while the world

was judging me

on my actions.”

BB,      p. 450  (3rd Ed.)

Life before A. A for most drunks

was chaotic and quite unrealistic.

Life was lying, cheating, stealing and

the many broken promises,

the intentions that never materialized.

Trust was a word that held little hope.

Today, to stay sober make sure your actions

guarantee that your intentions

and your promises will be met.

Life is not what you think or say,

life is what you do.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
