God’s Perfection

October Roses 047.

“Day by day,

we try to move a little

toward God’s perfection.

Progress is our aim,

and His perfection

is our beacon,

light-years away,

that draws us on.”

As Bill Sees It,   p. 15

We admitted that we were powerless.

We took an honest inventory

and admitted our part in these affairs.

We humbly ask to have these

old bad habits removed.

And then we were blessed

with the steps that keep us sober.

A daily inventory,

a conscious contact with a Higher Power,

giving back what was so feely given to us

and most importantly,

a suggestion that we practice these

principles in all of our affairs.

Progress, not perfection, God’s will,

not ours, be done.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
