Came To Believe

October Roses 032

.

“Gradually,

with patience, humility

and a lot of questions,

I came to believe in God.

Now my relationship with

my Higher Power gives me

the strength to live a

happy, sober life.”

.

Daily Reflections, p. 175

.

The most amazing thing about sobriety

is that if you do not pick up that first drink,

you keep coming back and follow some suggestions,

eventually the promise do come true.

You will suddenly realize that your Higher Power

will be doing for you what you could not do for yourself.

A relationship with anyone or anything is in itself

often a new and strange experience for the

selfish and self-centered alcoholic.

Today, be patient with yourself

and let all of your relationships grow.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
