Unnatural Act

house lanai 008

“When men and women

pour so much alcohol

into themselves that

they destroy their lives,

they commit a most

unnatural act.”

Twelve And Twelve, p.64

Normal people will not let a foul smelling

liquid fermented sugar to pass over their lips

because they usually can’t get it past their nose.

Instincts for survival in normal people will not

permit them to kill themselves.

The addicted alcoholic will hold his nose,

throw up, and still attempt over and over

again to get that poison down his throat

to satisfy that compulsion to drink,

and to do what diseases do, kill.

Today, try to be normal,

don’t let that smelly poison

cross your lips.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
