“Moderate drinkers have
little trouble in giving
up liquor entirely
if they have good reason
They can take it
or leave it alone.”
BB, p. 20
That point in time when the drinker
no longer controlled his drinking
and the drink began to control him.
For some it was after the first drink,
for many it was years of drinking socially
and then without warning, without being noticed,
the line was crossed.
Moderate drinking is a term the alcoholic
has difficulty understanding.
How can that man or lady order that drink,
take a few sips and leave the rest.
Today, remember there is no such thing
as moderation for the alcoholic
and more begins with the first drink.
Recovery is one day at a time.
Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.
