Hasty And Foolish

lanai (19)

“Usually, however,

other people are involved.

Therefore, we are not

to be the hasty

and foolish martyr

who would needlessly

sacrifice others

to save himself from the alcoholic pit.”

BB,   p. 79

The aim of the steps is to clear the wreckage of the past

not to add more problems to an already dysfunctional life.

It is the alcoholic nature to blame others

and ignore the part that they had to play in

creating hard feelings and misgivings.

One must be very careful with amends,

discuss them with a sponsor and make sure that you

protect the feelings of the innocent.

God does accept letters.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
