Locked-in Feelings

Dunedin Labor Day 002

“A tiny kernel of

locked-in feelings

began to unfold when

I first attended

A.A. meetings

and self-knowledge

then became a learning

task for me.”

Daily Reflections p 135

I cried uncontrollably, I laughed uncontrollably

and I had no idea who was in control.

Feelings that I never knew that I had started to surface

when I put down the anesthetic alcohol.

Talking with a sponsor and a support group helps

the soul to awaken and to realize that feelings

are natural and healthy.

It is fun to learn what we like and what we don’t like

and more importantly we learn that we can

change our mind at any time.

Today, enjoy the feelings

and know that to make them healthy

you need to share them with someone who understands.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
