“An A. A. group
ought never endorse,
finance, or lend
the A. A. name
to any related facility
or outside enterprise,
lest problems of money,
property, and prestige
divert us from our primary purpose.”
Twelve and Twelve p 155
Even though the program of Alcoholics Anonymous
is a “we” program, each individual,
as a part of the group conscious,
is responsible for being there
if and when anyone reaches out for help,
and this is our primary purpose.
No clubs, hospitals, charity drives, soup kitchens
nor any other institution or organization
needs the A. A. name.
Members of A. A. need to stay sober and remember that
anonymity is the spiritual foundation
of all of our traditions.
Recovery is one day at a time.
Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,
God loves you and so do we.
