The Same Fears

walk around the block 031 “When, with God’s help,

we calmly accepted our lot,

then we found we could

live at peace with ourselves

and show others who still

suffered the same fears

that they could get over  them, too.

We found that freedom from fear

was more important

than freedom from want.”

Twelve and Twelve p 122

As an alcoholic the biggest fear was

how was I going to live without alcohol.

When we started to work the steps

and had many a talk with members of the fellowship

we slowly allowed a  loving Higher Power

to take away our fears.

Many of us thanked our Great Creator

for not giving us what we wanted

or giving us what we deserved.

Today, let your Higher Power remove your fears

and have faith that you will be given what you need.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
