The Barest Beginning

“So it is

that we first

see humility

as a necessity.

But this is

the barest beginning.”

.

Twelve and Twelve,  p. 73

.

Let go or be dragged.

Humility is letting go, letting God lead the way.

Humble is following the will of a loving Higher Power;

to be kind,  loving,  patient,  tolerant,  forgiving

and to be compassionate.

Seeing it in others, reading about it, dreaming about it

is just the barest beginning of being humble,

practicing this principle in all of our affairs

is to achieve a sober serenity

and peace  of mind.

Humility is a sober serenity and peace of mind.

Today, practice following the will of your Higher Power.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
