“Each group has
but one primary purpose
– to carry its message
to the alcoholic
who still suffers.”
Big Book p 564
We are not bankers, lawyers, real estate brokers
marriage counselors, psychiatrists, psychologist
or employment providers, we are drunks who
need each other to maintain our sobriety.
An AA meeting is not a group therapy session,
it is an exchange of ideas on how not to drink,
one day at a time.
We qualify ourselves, what it used to be like,
so that you can identify with us.
We tell you what happened,
where we reached our bottom and
how we found the rooms of AA.
We relate what it is like now and how AA
and a Higher Power, works in our group
to keep us all on the road to a happy destiny.
Today, join a group,
see how their primary purpose can serve you.
Recovery is one day at a time.
Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.
ME and the Boss
And, if no one has told you yet today,
God loves you and so do we.
