For My Own Sake

“I must forgive injuries,

not just in words,

or as a matter of form,

but in my heart.

I do this not for the

other persons’ sake,

but for my own sake.”

Daily Reflections p 88

There is no honor among thieves.

As a drunk I did many morally questionable things,

and those I harmed would seek retribution

or seek to take advantage of the inebriated sot.

I earned every injury that was inflicted on me,

done by myself or others.

Forgiveness earned by honestly working the steps

has renewed my soul.

Today, learn to forgive and do so

for yourself as well as others.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
