When We Stop

pine is clouds 104

“We discover that we receive

guidance for our lives

to just about the extent

that we stop making demands

upon God to give it to us

on order and on our terms.”

As Bill Sees It,  p 33
Twelve and Twelve,  p 104

I want what I want and I want it now.

Just because we stopped drinking doesn’t mean

that we have changed our thinking.

Once we have worked the steps,

ask God to remove our defects of character

and our shortcomings,

hopefully our stinking thinking

has stopped making demands on God

and we have learned to accept life on God’s terms.

Today, if you want to know God’s will,

ask Him, don’t tell Him.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
