Quiet the Noisy Mind

pine is clouds 014

“Whenever I find myself

under acute tension,

I lengthen my daily walks

and slowly repeat our

Serenity Prayer in rhythm

to my steps and breathing.”

As Bill Sees It p 250
Grapevine, March 1962

Serenity and peace of mind, two of the more

rewarding virtues received by staying sober.

Just as every soul has their own concept of a Higher Power,

everyone has their own unique way of seeking the spiritual path.

Recovery is  body, mind and soul;

make sure your daily program gives time

to improve your whole person.

Today, quiet the noisy mind;

pray, meditate and walk slowly.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
