“While the purpose of making

restitution to others is paramount,

it is necessary that we extricate

from the examination of our personal

relations every bit of information

about ourselves and our fundamental

difficulties that we can.”

Twelve and Twelve,  p 80

What part did I have to play in these relationships ? ? ?

As the drunk I was always looking at others

to blame them for all of my difficulties.

As a recovering alcoholic who is trying to work the steps,

honestly and to the best of my abilities

it is paramount that I look at both sides of the coin.

Step Eight reminds us that before we attempt to make amends

we have to honestly examine our part in those relationships.

Today, before you point the finger at others remember

that there are always three fingers pointing back at you.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
