In These Circumstances

“But just how,

in these circumstances,

does a fellow

‘take it easy?’

That’s what I

want to know.”

Twelve and Twelve p 26

.

I want, what I want, and I want it now.

Now I see a fellowship that is happy, joyous and free

and I still want what I want,

and I want what they have,

and I want it now.

Easy does it may work for them but what about me ? ? ?

One day at a time,

if it took me twenty years of drinking

to get me into the middle of the woods

it may also take me twenty or more years

to get myself out of the woods.

Today, be patient with yourself,

easy does it, enjoy the journey.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
