Resume Prayer

Lowes flowers 4-09 084

Occasionally . . . We are seized

with a rebellion so sickening

that we simply won’t pray.

When these things happen we should

not think too ill of ourselves.

We should simply resume prayer

as soon as we can, doing what we

know to be good for us.”

I may have not had a drink of alcohol

in a few twenty-fours, however,

I am still an alcoholic

and the old alcoholic stinking thinking

is prone to returning if I am not

on good spiritual ground.

Read the literature, go to a meeting,

speak with another member of the fellowship,

say the Serenity prayer and remember

you can change your attitude much easier

when you are sober.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
