Much In Common

Lowes flowers 4-09 023

“Being possessed of

a spiritual experience,

the alcoholic will find

he has much in common

with these (religious) people

though he may differ

with them on many matters.”

BB p 131 & 132

He came to scoff but he stayed to pray.

Faith, no matter how you express it is still faith,

a dogma that is strictly yours

and a belief that works for you.

The sober alcoholic has a faith in a Higher Power

who could do for him what he could not do for himself

and that is to remove the obsession and compulsion to drink.

Today, do not argue the religion, profess the faith

that a spiritual experience is what keeps you sober,

one day at a time.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
