Plans For The Day

“On awakening

let us think about

the twenty-four

hours ahead.

We consider our

plans for the day.”

BB p 86

One day at a time.

If we have a strong spiritual foundation

the compulsion and obsession to drink

does not exist in our thinking or in our plans.

Our plans need to be in balance;

time for work, time for family, and time for self.

Today, for the recovering alcoholic,

self time should include:

time for prayer and meditation,

possibly a daily devotional reading,

a meeting is always recommended

and a few moments sharing experiences, strengths and hope

with another drunk never does any harm.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
