Choose Well

Rightly and naturally,

we think well before

we choose the person

or persons with whom

to take this intimate

and confidential step.”

BB p 74

To work Step Five we are to relate our story

to another human being.

As my sponsor said, ‘ be careful ‘ , you are looking at

a room full of drunks, many of whom could not for years

be trusted with anything, especially secrets.

Priest who want donations, preachers who want contributions,

and we will not even go into the trustworthiness of lawyers,

many gurus, shamans and Indian chiefs who will have no idea

of what you are attempting to do should be struck from your list

of those you can trust.

Today, seek out those who have what you want and just

like normal people, choose your friends and confidants wisely.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
