“He clamors for

this or that,

claiming he cannot

master alcohol until

his material needs

are cared for.

First Things First

The humble soul who has allowed his Higher Power

to remove the obsession and compulsion to drink

knows the difference between his wants and needs

and has faith that his needs will be met

as long as he continues to do the next right thing.

Wants are the lubrication for a slippery slide that

will lead the drunk towards a relapse.

Today, don’t drink and let God take care of the rest.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
