Time Well Spent

You have been starving

for his companionship,

yet he spends long hours

helping other men

and their families. …

The fact is that he should

work with other people

to maintain his own sobriety.”

BB p 119

Better some quality time with a sober person

than many hours of tolerating a drunk.

The family, friends and employer must help

the recovering soul seek a balance in their lives.

Every sober alcoholic knows

that there are never enough hours in a day

to try to catch up with the life that was lost

while under the influence.

Today, don’t drink, work with another alcoholic

but leave some time for family and friends who

want to share with you a life that is happy, joyous and free.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
