Straighten Out The Past

“Simply we tell him

that we will never

get over drinking

until we have done

our utmost

to straighten out

the past.”

BB p 77

Guilt, shame and remorse lubricate the slippery slide

that is relapse.

Follow the suggestions, make the list of those you have harmed,

go over the list with a sponsor and be prepared to be “willing”

to make amends to them all.

Today, don’t drink, go to a meeting, talk with another drunk

and let go and let God.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
