Jealous of God

“They may be jealous

of a God who has stolen

dad’s affections.

While grateful that

he drinks no more,

they may not like

the idea that God has

accomplished the miracle

where they failed.”

BB p 128

TIME : Things I Must Earn.

The family, friends, co-workers and others

must also know that recovery;

the rebuilding of trust, healthy relationships,

and healed family dysfunctions will take time.

For the recovering alcoholic and all of those around them,

jealousy and blame must be eradicated from list

of feelings and negative thoughts.

Today, one day at a time,

no blame, no jealousy, no negatives,

just show the family and friends

that time does heal all wounds.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
