Secondary Motives

‘Though they knew they

must help other alcoholics

if they would remain sober,

that motive became

It was transcended

by the happiness

they found in giving

themselves for others.”

BB p 159

In sobriety, life becomes a win-win proposition.

We win with happiness when we see others

growing spirituality as their obsession and compulsion

to drink is removed and we ourselves gain that most

important objective of not drinking, one day at a time.

Today, look for the two way street and make sure your motives

benefit others while unselfishly helping your own growth

as a responsible member of the fellowiship of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
