A New Fellow

“Some of them may sink

and perhaps never get up,

but if our experience

is a criterion, more than

half of those approached

will become fellows of

Alcoholics Anonymous.”

BB p 163

Only God knows,

how many recover from the deadly grip of alcoholism,

how many are introduced to AA and never quite get it,

how many find the rooms of AA and stick,

how many more are doomed to die never having the

knowledge that there is a better way.

Ours is not to guess, not to judge, not to worry about the Uni-verse,

ours is to get sober and reach out to help those who are willing

to do what it takes to find a better life.

Today, don’t drink, don’t think. go to a meeting

and share your experience, strength and hope

with another problem drinker.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
