“His drinking
may be constant
or it may be
heavy only on
certain occasions.”

Every alcoholic is unique in how he is affected
physically and mentally; some black out frequently,
some never black out but they consume enough
to be legally impaired even though they
delude themselves into believing
that they are in control,
some drink alone, some drink only socially,
some get physically ill from the alcohol,
some blame it on the sardines packed in mustard sauce.
The stories are unique but the sameness is in the feelings.
Today, do not compare the drunk-a-logs,
identify with the feelings.
Recovery is one day at a time.
Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

God loves you and so do we.
