A Daily Reprieve

“We are not cured

of alcoholism.

What we really have

is a daily reprieve

contingent on the

maintenance of our

spiritual condition.”

BB p 85

To maintain a healthy spiritual condition

one must  be grateful for a loving Higher Power

who has restored us to sanity.

It is suggested that everyone (not just the alcoholic)

should develop a program, a routine, that on a daily basis

will get you out of yourself (ego deflation)

and the best way to do that is to help another suffering soul.

Today, do the next right thing, be kind, be loving,

be patient, be tolerant, be forgiving,

be the person your Higher Power wants you to be

and be grateful when you discover

that you did not have to seek out spirituality,

spirituality has found you.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
