Our Real Purpose

“Our real purpose

is to fit ourselves

to be of maximum service

to God and the people

about us.”

BB p 77

To restore us to sanity or in more modern context,

to rehabilitate, adapt,

as to a former state of health or good repute,

so that we may be of maximum service to this world

is the primary purpose of the program of AA.

Today, don’t drink, try to act normal,

and do the next right thing when your Higher Power

gives you the chance to be of service to the fellowship.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
