Spiritual Convictions

“One more suggestion:

Whether the family has

spiritual convictions

or not,

they may do well to

examine the principles by

which the alcoholic member

is trying to live.”

BB p 130

Said before and worthy of being repeated many times

the simple spiritual program of Alcoholics Anonymous

can be of value to every living soul.

The drunk can not get sober living with a sick family.

Suggest to the newcomer that he need not move away

from the sick family immediately,

he should give them a chance to change

just as he is asking them to be patient and tolerant

while he begins his new sober journey.

Today, pray that everyone has nothing but good feelings

and learns that doing the next right thing

is the better way.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
